Description
Uploading a work in progress because... I'm proud of it, it's turning out well, and the class is now over. So the odds of me actually finishing it have decreasing significantly. 
But we'll see, eh?
This is a great blue heron. About three hours of work put into it so far, and it's turning out great. The log and the background need work, obviously, but the bird is almost finished.
Sixth watercolor ever, first time doing an animal (much less a bird), and am using cheap crayola watercolors and printer paper. For all that... I love this. I'm doing awesome.
Not to toot my own horn.

O.O Woah! This is absolutely beautiful! It actually kind of looks like a Tricolored heron (Egretta tricolor), not a great blue, from the coloring on its face and bill. P: But nonetheless, it's gorgeous. Love how much detail you added into the feet and feathers, and I love the shine on the bill.
